We are still a long way off from seeing any kind of product beta for the next version of Microsoft Windows, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mill from churning fresh “details” from time to time. And when you consider Microsoft has been as tight-lipped as ever about the upcoming Windows project, it’s no suprise to see people wondering and guessing as to what they have in store for PC users in the next few years.
One of the main things I always look forward to with each version of Windows is how the folks at Redmond address new user interface designs. And giving emerging graphics hardware and integrated chipsets which are said to do more in the way of graphics processing, I’m excited to see what the GUI of Windows 8 will look like. Might it be cutting-edge?
According to an italian website, window8italia.com, Windows 8 will come with two different desktop UI’s for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. The 64-bit version is said to be fully 3D and will require a minimum of 170MB of dedicated video memory.
