Most of our regular readers here at Windows 7 News probably know all about Mike Halsey and the various awards and achievements he’s gained over the past couple of years. Now he’s gone and outdone himself and we’re delighted to be able to announce that Mike Halsey has been awarded a Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award by Microsoft.
These awards are given out each year to “exceptional technical community leaders who actively share their high quality, real world expertise with others”.
Mike has been writing here at Windows 7 News for nearly 2 years and joined the team just before I did. He recently published published Troubleshooting Windows 7 Inside Out with Microsoft Press this year. He is also the author of the self-published Windows 7 Power Users Guide.
In a statement on the official Microsoft MVP website, the company say…“With the MVP Award, we thank these inspiring individuals for representing the voice of thousands in the community through the powerful and independent feedback they give us, and for helping our customers maximize the potential of their software”
Of course myself and the whole team here at Windows 7 News are delighted at Mike’s success and achievements to date, it’s the least he deserves after all the hard work and effort that he puts into contributing to this site.

This award not only shows that Mike is an expert in this field ,as he is now an MVP for the Windows Desktop Experience, but it also gives him the opportunity to continue to develop his range of skills and knowledge, and I’m sure we will continue to see more and more great articles by him here on Windows 7 News.
So once again, congratulations Mike from us all here at Windows 7 News, it’s an outstanding achievement and we look forward to more great articles from you!
